Defensive pistol 1

Cost- $80/student for groups of 4 or more, otherwise billed at hourly rate of $40/hr/student.

DP 1 is a 4 hr body of instruction touching on the basics for the 1st hour only.  It's not a "learn how to shoot course" but instead the first level of how to protect yourself with a handgun course. Making a smooth safe draw from the holster and getting handgun in play efficiently is a focus in this course.  Exposure to point, index, and aimed fire are covered with multiple rounds, multiple targets at reasonable self-defense distances.  Again this is not a learn how to shoot course, students must be competent safe shooters able to slow fire reasonable groups.  Equipment needed: Ear and eye protection, handgun, holster (suggest regular belt non-colaspible holster vs. deep concealed carry holster), 150-250 rounds of ammunition, extra magazines or speed loaders (as many as you have), concealment garment.  Cost- $80/student for groups of 4 or more, otherwise billed at hourly rate of $40/hr/student.

Defensive pistol 2

Cost- $80/student for groups of 4 or more, otherwise billed at hourly rate of $40/hr/student.

DP 2 is a 4 hr course of study building on the fundamentals learned from DP 1.  Movement will be added, shooting from different positions using cover, one hand and support hand shooting.  Use of the flashlight while shooting will all be covered.  An IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) scenario shoot will round out the day. This will let you utilize all the skills learned in both DP1 and 2 and experience competitive shooting.  Equipment needed: Ear and eye protection, handgun, holster (suggest regular belt holster vs. deep concealed carry holster), 150-250 rounds of ammunition, extra magazines or speed loaders (as many as you have), concealment garment.  Cost- $80/student for groups of 4 or more, otherwise billed at hourly rate of $40/hr/student.

advanced defensive pistol

Cost- $175 (10 student maximum).

ADP is an 4-6 hr course pulling from both DP 1 and 2.  The first half of the day will be drawing, shooting, getting off the "X", and using cover in a variety of positions and distances.  Further you'll shoot from seated positions, while running to cover, over around and through objects, essentially mimicking real life scenarios you could find yourself in public.  The 2nd half of the day will be tactics, rules to follow when entering structures, clearing corners, doors, moving, using flashlight in real applications in dark environments.  Then we put all you've learned to the test in Force on Force training using gas powered airsoft handguns.  You'll learn to verbalize and put your tactics to the test against real adversaries.  Force on force training is where real actors act out real situations for fellow students using airsoft guns in our case.  The fact that airsoft hurts when hit adds to the stress and really puts the student to the test.  Scenarios will be done in mock rooms under regular light and low light with a variety of scenarios.  Equipment needed: Ear and eye protection, handgun, holster (suggest regular belt holster vs. deep concealed carry holster), 200 rounds of ammunition, extra magazines or speed loaders (as many as you have), concealment garment. For the force on force training you'll want long sleeve shirt and something to cover the neck.  Bring a paintball/airsoft protective mask if you have one.  Cost- $175 (10 student maximum).
