Are you looking to purchase a gun or just have interest in learning how to shoot or have a family member that you want to have more experience we have a course built specifically for this need.  It is our most popular class and starts at the basics and gives the student opportunity to shoot a variety of guns, it is the perfect class for someone looking to buy a gun for the first time.  If you've been looking to purchase but don't know what you'll like or what size or caliber to get you really need to take this course.  We offer it  with focus on handguns or all types of firearms.  Done by the hour to cater to varying experience levels, $40/hr/person for lecture and $50/hour/person for live fire.  Email for group rates.  Have lots of families that take this course and love it.

 

Home Firearm Safety Course is a non-shooting course.  Students learn the basic firearm knowledge, skill and attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRAs three rules for safe gun handling, primary causes of firearms accidents, firearm parts, how to unload most firearms including; handguns, rifles and shotguns.  Also included is an explanation of different action types, ammunition components, cleaning, care, safe storage of firearms in the home, and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate.  Cost $50/hr/person.

(two separate courses) Learn the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a handgun or rifle safely. This course is approximately 10-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols or various rifle actions. Students learn NRA rules for safe gun handling; parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from various positions; cleaning the firearm; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol or Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol or Rifle Shooting Student Examination, course completion certificate.  Cost $125/student for groups of 4 or 5. $180 per person for 2 or 3. $250 for one on one instruction.

 

(Great course to take if you want a very structured course with NRA certificate of completion.  This is not a permit to carry class and no NRA instructor should promote a Basic Pistol class as a permit to carry course.)

(two separate courses) Course designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific handgun or rifle action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific action type. Students will learn the NRAs rules for safe gun handling; the particular firearm model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the firearm; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol or Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate. Cost $150 for one on one instruction, $90/student for 2-3, $75/student with 4 or more, 5 person maximum.

 

(This course is designed for the new purchaser of a handgun or rifle.  Accelerate your learning curve and bypass the bad habit development stage with this 3-4 hr course)

This course covers the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individuals right to self-defense. This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection in the Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA  Marksmanship Qualification booklet, course completion certificate.  Cost $100/student for group of 5, $175/person for couples, $275 for one on one instruction.
